Southern Arizona Roadrunners (SAR) is very pleased and proud to announce a new running and walking event coming to downtown Tucson in partnership with the iconic Tucson St. Patrick's Day Parade Festival. It's a St. Patrick's Day party like no other! The Desert Leprechaun 5K & 1M Run/Walk.

The innaugural event will take place the morning of the festival on Sunday, March 15, 2020 and is staged with the festival in Armory Park. The "Desert Leprechaun 5k & 1Mile Run/Walk" is planned to begin at 8:30am in the morning in Downtown Tucson. The event will use the Tucson St. Patrick's Day Parade route and will include a totally unique, custom finisher medal, a free beer at the festival with your race entry (only for those over 21 years old, of course!) and so much more. Bring your entire family out in the morning to get your run or walk on, and then stay for the amazing parade and festival. It will be an experience you won't soon forget!

​The St. Patrick’s Day Festival opens at 10:00 a.m. Sunday, March 15, 2020 at Armory Park, 220 S. 6th Avenue, in downtown Tucson. Enjoy live Irish music, dancers, entertainment, a children’s area, and food and merchandise vendors.  Irish organizations, ethnic and cultural tables will be set up in the park as well.
